Subject Clubs

Most departments organise subject clubs for pupils to attend and these are held either during lunchtime or after school. They are supervised by teachers from within the department and provide an important mechanism to support learning and enable pupils to fulfil their potential. The purpose of subject clubs is two-fold. Firstly, they offer an opportunity for pupils to develop their knowledge beyond lessons should they wish to do so. This is particularly the case for pupils in Lower School who may attend because they have a particular interest in a subject and want to expand their knowledge and understanding. Secondly, pupils who require additional support with homework, class work or coursework can attend the relevant subject club for specialist, personalised support. Pupils in Middle School and Upper School may also attend clubs to help them with revision in preparation for GCSE and A Level examinations.
