Sunday Club

Sunday Club is the College’s longest running club. Every Sunday afternoon in term time Year 12 and 13 pupils put on a range of activities for adults with special needs from the local community.
The club provides the adults who attend with a great deal of enjoyment and the opportunity to meet with friends. It also provides their carers with the chance to have a well earned break, especially as the College pays for taxis to transport members to and from the club.
Typical activities include arts and crafts, quizzes and the ever popular game of Bingo. The weekly ‘karaoke’ sessions are also not to be missed. A number of excursions also take place, such as the annual trip to the pantomime.
The pupils involved find Sunday Club a most enjoyable experience. Their work is outstanding and it is very encouraging to see so many youngsters giving so much to the local community. In so doing, not only do they carry out duties that are greatly rewarding, but they also acquire many skills that will aid them in their lives after St Edward's. Their work is greatly appreciated by the club’s members.
