Basketball
Due to its continuous action and frequent scoring, Basketball is one of the most popular spectator and participant sports in the world. It is a most enjoyable way for young people to keep fit.
Pupils play on Fridays after school (15.45 to 17.00). About thirty pupils train every week. These are divided into two groups - the under 14s and theunder 16s. In the training sessions the basic skills of the game are covered including ball control, shooting, offense, defense and rebound.
Matches are played against other schools. Since the Club was established in 2006 many pupils have become very proficient having come on literally “leaps and bounds”. All are welcome to join in the action – no experience necessary!
