Cross Country

Extra-curricular Cross Country at St Edward's provides a popular alternative to rugby for boys. In 2008, it became available to Lower School girls who are not members of the Hockey or Netball squads.
Boys in all year groups and girls in Lower School are welcome to participate in this competitive and fun activity. Pupils may be entered in competitive races or they simply take part in the club to improve their fitness levels. The club meets every Tuesday, from 12.45 – 13.30 pm at the Sports Complex for training.

There are eight main inter-school fixtures over the Advent and Lent terms. Liverpool Harriers Midweek Cross Country League is one of the competitions, which involves four meetings held at local parks, on Wednesday afternoons. The Merseyside Schools’ Cross Country League organises four fixtures on Saturday mornings at various venues throughout the season.

The Club offers an inclusive and encouraging environment to runners at all levels of ability. There is often an annual outing for members at the end of the season.

For a report on the Saturday Season, please see the attached document.

Wednesday Fixtures continue as follows:

Wednesday 7th March at Sefton Park Years 7-11 Coach at 15.00.
Wednesday 28th March at Wavertree Mystery Years 7-11 Coach at 15.00pm.
