Learn to Swim at St Edward's College Swim School
St Edward’s College Swim School offers a highly effective learning environment with strong emphasis on individual development and enjoyment.
We cater for all abilities, from the non-swimmer to the pre-club standard swimmer. Our ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) qualified teachers use their expertise and years of experience to help every swimmer get the most from their time in the pool and have fun!
We operate using the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming, along with a badge scheme. This is a comprehensive, integrated, progressive teaching programme based upon sound technical and educational principles and provides St Edward’s College Swim School with a nationally recognised template for teaching our members. Water skills are taught in conjunction with the child’s natural development rather than being based on the distance that each child can swim.
Progress through the swim school will reflect the skills that they have learnt and how well the child can apply them. Whatever the distance your child swims, they will do so safely, under expert supervision and, more importantly, with the confidence of a competent and skilful swimmer. Children are continually assessed as we know that every child progresses at different speeds.
We deliver ASA stages One – Seven for children three years of age and over.
Lessons run on Saturday mornings from 08.00 until 13.00.
A 10 week group programme costs £35 per course (just £3.50 per lesson).
