Dominic Walker left St. Edward's College in 1994. It was while studying at St. Edward's he decided he wanted to work in Broadcasting. His first 'gig' was working for BBC North alongside Richard 'Hamster' Hammond and Bob Roberts. However, his broadcasting career has taken him as far away as Cyprus for a year working for the National English speaking radio station, Radio Napa.Other credits include, Key 103, national station Heat Radio, Radio City 96.7, 97.4 Rock FM and Metro Radio.
Dominic also enjoyed a brief acting career playing 'Alan' in Coronation Street and has appeared alongside singer, Maureen Nolan in panto.
After a chance meeting with music industry manager David White, Dominic worked with several bands including Steps, 5ive and Sweet FA. His credits also extend to stadiums; he introduced Katie White (now with the Ting Tings) on stage at The M.E.N. Arena and Wembley Arena.
Three seasons ago Dominic was appointed the Stadium Host at The Halliwell Jones Stadium for Warrington Wolves and he hosted Liverpool Reserves for two seasons also. He acknowledges that the biggest event of his life was hosting the Challenge Cup homecoming after sprinting up the M6 hours ahead of the team coach. Earlier this year, he introduced David Cameron MP on stage at the 'Cameron Direct' event.
Dominic, who is patron of the children's charity The Moore Foundation, visited former St. Edward's College Headmaster Brother Sassi in Rome last year and the first place Brother Sassi took Dominic to was Vatican Radio!
Dominic's brothers are both Old Edwardians too. Andre is a former House of Commons staffer who now works as a spin doctor and can be heard on 'The Richard Bacon Show' on BBC Radio Five Live as political commentator. Youngest brother and former Chorister Daniel graduated from St Benet's College Oxford and now works for an investment banking company.
