Charity trip for students

Two Year 13 students, Zoe H and Catherine W, have been given the opportunity to volunteer with the Christian Brothers as part of the Edmund Rice Network at both our sister school Kanvilli RC School in Ghana and in Lima in January 2018 for three months.

This volunteering opportunity involves the girls teaching English to school children and using their textiles skills to help with craft activities in Ghana. Whilst in Lima, they will be teaming up with other volunteers to help build reliable and stable houses to withstand earthquakes.

The girls are looking to raise £3000 towards travel expenses, tools and building materials, presents for the children such as stationery and small toys, vaccinations and visas.
