English Clubs

Creative Writing Club

The Creative Writing Club is open to all pupils and is designed to give pupils a forum wherein they can develop their passion for English writing. Pupils can use the club to discuss their work and the work of others in a friendly and supportive environment. The club takes place weekly in the College Learning Resource Centre.

Film Club

Film Club consists of free weekly screenings of a wide range of films, from foreign shorts to Hollywood classics. There is one Club for Years 7 to 10 and another for Years 11 to 13. There is the opportunity to discuss and review films as an online member, as well as sport a special Film Club ID card and lanyard with pride!

Literary Society

Our Literary Society is open to pupils in Years 11 to 13 and meets after school on a weekly basis. Pupils read and discuss a range of texts, from poems, plays and classic fiction to articles and non-fiction texts that have caught our imagination. Discussion is always lively and often heated as views are defended and demolished; a generous helping of cake ensures that civility ultimately prevails! New members are always welcome and will find us a friendly and hospitable bunch.
