SEC congratulated on English Baccalaureate performance

Mr Morris has received a letter from the Right Hon Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards, congratulating the College on our 'very high standard of achievement' in the English Baccalaureate during last summer's GCSE examinations. The results show we are 'amongst the top state-funded schools in England for the percentage of pupils achieving these core academic subjects'.

The English Baccalaureate is awarded to pupils who achieve at least a grade C in six subjects: English, Mathematics, two Sciences (Core and Additional), a Humanity (either History or Geography) and a Language.

Congratulations to our pupils and teaching staff on this acknowledgement of your hard work and dedication!
