Old Edwardian wins Emmy award

Our congratulations go to Old Edwardian, Colin Watkinson who won a Primetime Emmy for his outstanding cinematography work on the multi-award winning series 'The Handmaid's Tale'. The critically-acclaimed series won eight awards in total at the Emmys, the annual awards which honour the best in US prime-time television.

Colin who attend St Edward's from 1980-1987 has worked across the globe on many different film, television, commercial and music video projects and has received several awards over the years. As a cinematographer his first feature, “The Fall” was described by renowned film critic Roger Ebert as “One of the most astonishing films I have ever seen” and won him an Austin Film Critics awards for Best Cinematography. Colin has worked on music videos for artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Ice Cube and Pink and on commercials for a wide variety of companies including Pepsi, Mercedes, Samsung and Canon. His previous television work includes shows such as Entourage and Wonder Woman.
